BME AHA Fellowship Recipients at UVA

Three PhD candidates in biomedical engineering at the University of Virginia have been awarded a competitive graduate research fellowship from the American Heart Association. AHA Predoctoral Fellows receive stipend, health insurance and project support for one or two years. Our trainees' success in securing nationally competitive fellowships attests to the promise of their scientific inquiry to improve global cardiovascular, cerebrovascular and brain health.
