UVA Managed Computers Adobe Creative Cloud Installation Steps

The Adobe Creative Cloud plan includes over 20 creative apps that can be licensed individually or as a complete Creative Cloud package.

As a new Engineering licensed user to Adobe products, you will receive a Welcome email from Adobe <[email protected]> referencing Engineering IT and the access provided. (Your admin at Engineering IT has given you access to <Name of Product>).  If this access is not correct please submit a ticket at [email protected] 

The preferred method of software installation is via SEAS-Engineering Endpoint Management.  

It is called Software Center on Windows devices and Self Service on Mac devices.  You can search for the Endpoint Management app, select the icon for Adobe Creative Cloud, and proceed with installation.  Administrative Access is incorporated into Endpoint Management.  

Open the Application  

  • Open/Launch either Software Center (Windows) or Self Service (MacOS).

Install Creative Cloud Desktop 

  • Search for Creative Cloud Desktop in Software Center / Self Service. 
  • Install Creative Cloud (CC). 

Sign In to Adobe Creative Cloud 

  • Launch the Creative Cloud Desktop application 
  • Sign in using your Engineering IT Adobe account: [email protected] 

Note: This is a separate Adobe-only account. It is not SSO and does not use your UVA login password/SSO. 

  • When prompted, select the Engineering IT profile. 

When prompted to select a profile to sign in, choose Engineering IT

First-Time SignIn – Password Setup  

  • During the initial use of your Engineering IT Adobe account you will need to create a password: 
  1. Click Reset Password on the Adobe login screen. 
  2. A temporary passcode will be sent to [email protected]. 
  3. Enter the passcode. 
  4. Create a new password for the Adobe Engineering IT account. 

Install Adobe Apps 

From Creative Cloud 

  • Click Apps in the left menu. 
  • Locate the Adobe applications you need. 
  • Click Install or Download.

  • Wait for installation to finish. 

Troubleshooting  

If you have an incident, such as Software Center/Self Service not showing Creative Cloud, or you don’t receive the Adobe temporary passcode, please email [email protected] for assistance.
