Garrick Louis is Associate Professor of Systems and Information Engineering and Engineering and Society at the University of Virginia. He is director of the Small Infrastructure and Development Center and director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in the Department of Systems and Information Engineering.
Henning Mortveit is an associate professor in the Biocomplexity Institute Initiative. He received his doctorate in mathematics from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology in 2000. Before joining ESE he held positions at the Los Alamos National Laboratory and at Virginia Tech.
My research interests are generally in operations research and, more specifically, in stochastic models and stochastic dynamic programming applied to healthcare. My research is in data-driven models for improving decision-making in cardiovascular disease, cancer, mental health, and substance abuse.
