Our career advising team is here to support you in your summer internship search. We also encourage students to explore the many ways you can gain experience during the academic year. From self-paced skill building courses, to short-term projects (a great way to try something out without a summer-long commitment), to remote internships you can choose when and how you explore your interests outside of the classroom.

Project-Based Work
Short-term, project-based work with alumni
Posted here throughout the year
Gain experience with short-term, project-based work through Bridges, a new program from VAM (Virginia Alumni Mentoring). Bridges is an initiative to connect UVA alumni and students through project-based work. Alumni post short-term, well-defined projects that students can complete in 1-4 weeks. Students gain real-world project experience that they can put on their resumes. Alumni gain support and increased productivity. Most importantly, Bridges is an opportunity for UVA alumni and students to build meaningful relationships. Projects are paid and unpaid and will be posted throughout the year. Find projects under the “Projects” tab in the main VAM menu bar.
