The UVA Cyber Team has had a fantastic start to the year! They successfully advanced through the qualifying event in January for the March Mid-Atlantic Collegiate Cyber Defense Competition. They secured 3rd place in the Virginia Cyber Fusion Competition hosted by VMI in Lexington (February 21-23), and just achieved a three-peat by winning 1st place in the Mid-Atlantic Collegiate Cyber Defense Competition (March 21-22)!

During the VA Cyber Fusion event, student Nikhil Boyalla also won the TechDuals debate competition!

The team will participate in the National Collegiate Cyber Defense Competition from April 25-27, 2025, competing against eight other regional winners and the winner of a wild-card round. UVA previously won national titles in 2018, 2019, and 2020. Wish them luck as they aim for a fourth win!
