William T. Scherer is a super expert in systems engineering, stochastic control, and business analytics. Professor Scherer has served on the University of Virginia Systems Engineering Program faculty since 1986. He also consults with numerous organizations on the topics of systems thinking and business analytics applied to disparate organizations.
Ethan joined the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering in 2023. In addition to teaching, he serves as Deputy Director of the UVA ExSiTE Lab. Ethan's research interests include the development and application of experimental techniques to analyze heat and energy transfer in extremes of material size and environment.

Scully's primary research interest is to understand the relationships between a material's structure and composition and properties related to environmental degradation. His historical current focus is on advanced aluminum, magnesium, titanium, ferrous and nickel-based alloys, as well as stainless steels and aluminum-based intermetallic compounds.
Bryn Seabrook's research interests include, bioethics, public participation in environmental policymaking, energy efficiency, climate change, negotiating the environmental - consumer nexus, and analyzing American consumer culture.
