Benton Calhoun 

Ben received his B.S. degree in electrical engineering with a concentration in computer science from the University of Virginia, Charlottesville, VA, in 2000. He received the M.S. degree and Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Cambridge, MA, in 2002 and 2006, respectively. In January 2006, he joined the faculty at the University of Virginia in the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department, where he is now a Professor. His research interests include body sensor node (BSN) design, low power digital circuit design, sub-threshold digital circuits, SRAM design for end-of-the-roadmap silicon, variation tolerant circuit design methodologies, and low energy electronics for medical applications.

Daniel Truesdell

Principal Scientist
Daniel received his B.S. degree in electrical engineering from the University of Central Florida, Orlando, FL, USA, in 2016, and the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from the University of Virginia, Charlottesville, VA, USA, in 2021. He worked in the industry at an IoT startup as a Mixed-Signal Circuit Design Engineer developing ultra-low power system-on-chips until 2023, when he re-joined the University of Virginia where he is now a Principal Scientist. His research interests include energy efficient mixed-signal circuit design, on-chip oscillators and sensors, energy harvesting and performance-scalable systems, and low-power digital circuit techniques.

Samit received his B.Sc in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET), Bangladesh in May 2022. He joined the RLP-VLSI group in August 2023 and is currently working towards his PhD in Electrical Engineering. His research interest includes body sensor nodes (BSN), Internet of Things (IoT) and low power electronics for medical applications.

Aniket Roy

Aniket received his masters degree in electrical engineering from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, Michigan, MI, USA, in 2017. From 2017 to 2024, he worked in the industry as a Mixed-Signal Circuit Engineer designing various high performance digital and analog IPs for server applications in leading companies like Apple, Intel, Qualcomm and Ampere Computing. He joined the RLP-VLSI group at University of Virginia in August 2024 where he is currently pursuing his PhD in electrical engineering. His research interests include energy efficient mixed-signal circuit design, on-chip oscillators and sensors, energy harvesting and performance-scalable systems, clocking and low-power digital circuit techniques.

Trenton received his Bachelors in Electrical Engineering from The University of Texas at Dallas in 2024. He joined the RLP-VLSI group in August 2024, and is currently working towards his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering. His interests include Digital Signal Processing, Speech Recognition, and Mixed Signal IC Design.
