Load Frame

The load frame is an MTS Criterion Electromechanical Test System.  High strength materials can be tested using the 30kN load cell.  A high-temperature extensometer, 25kN water-cooled grips, and a 2 zone furnace reaching temperatures of up to 1400C allow for high temperature testing.  Accurate furnace mapping can be performed using additional thermocouples and a National Instruments data acquisition system.
