The Automatic Twin-Jet Electropolisher is used for the electrolytic thinning of TEM specimens and polishing metal plates. The twin-jet technique simultaneously polishes both sides of the specimen, creating electron transparency within a few minutes. Electrolyte flow and polishing voltage are controlled by the Model 140 Digital Power Control and the .

  • Specimen holders: 1" & 2" sizes
  • Enclosure size 152 mm [6 in.] width x 165 mm [6.5 in.] height x 152 mm [6 in.] depth
  • Polishing range 0 to 120 VDC; 0 to 100 mA

A new sample stand for electropolishing has been designed and is available for checkout to students and researchers. This stand - shown in the figure below - has interchangeable holders (1 & 2 inch).
